Swimming intro course - Spring 2026
- 22 dec 2025

Do you want to learn to crawl?
In spring 2026 we will be hosting an introductory course in crawl swimming for new and existing SCT members. Our swim coach Matt Hill will guide the attendees through a 5-week course, held on Sundays 18:00-19:30 in weeks 4-6 and 8-9 at Eriksdalsbadet.
Intro to Crawl Course
The course will be aimed at participants who are “water confident” but not “competent” front crawlers.
“Water confident” = being happy in the water and comfortable putting your face in the water while moving (breaststroke or basic front crawl – face in the water, then lifting the head to the front to breathe).
“Competent” front crawlers = if you are able to swim more than 50m front crawl with side breathing, you will be too strong for the group. However, this means you have a solid foundation and will be welcomed into the existing SCT regular sessions – in a lane with like-abled swimmers.
Course Logistics
- 5 sessions held over five Sunday’s – 18:00-19:30.
- Week 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9 of 2026
- Week 7 SCT will be on their annual swim camp, the course will have a pause this weekend.
- After 5 weeks of intensive coaching the participants will be able to continue attending swim sessions alongside the rest of the SCT squad, in a lane with session plans that progressively develops their swim training.
If any of these dates the pool is used for other competitions, the sessions will roll onto the next available Sunday.
Number of Participants
The course will be limited to 12 attendees.
Participation Fee
To secure a place on the course attendees simply need to join SCT for the year, making the same membership fee as other past members of 2500 SEK.
This payment not only secures a place on the swim course but grants access to all of the SCT sessions – weekly indoor bike sessions and their run sessions.
Signing Up Process
